Dofollow

A link that passes SEO ranking signal to the target. Opposite of nofollow.

By default, HTML links pass ranking signal — that's dofollow. Adding rel="nofollow" to a link tells Google to ignore it for ranking purposes. Directory sites often make backlinks nofollow by default to prevent spam, then upgrade to dofollow for verified or paid listings. When you're submitting to directories, dofollow status is the primary variable that determines whether the link actually helps your SEO. tools.cafe policy: paid tiers always dofollow; free tiers are nofollow until badge-verified.
