Tool Directory

A curated site that lists tools by category, typically providing a permanent listing page and often a backlink.

Tool directories (tools.cafe, AlternativeTo, Futurepedia, Uneed, and many more) list software products organized by category. Unlike Product Hunt, directories provide evergreen discoverability — a listing keeps sending traffic for years, not just 24 hours. Directories vary wildly in traffic, authority, and backlink quality. High-DR directories with dofollow links are the most SEO-valuable; low-DR nofollow directories are worth submitting to as long as it's free but shouldn't be prioritized.
