Launch

The public reveal of a new product — a moment optimized for peak attention.

A launch is a deliberate concentration of attention around a product release. Common venues: Product Hunt, Hacker News, Twitter/X, subreddits, indie directories. A good launch produces a burst of signups, feedback, and (occasionally) press. A great launch produces evergreen backlinks and quotable moments. The mistake most indie founders make is treating launch as the finish line rather than the starting line — the first launch is usually the smallest one. Plan a launch cadence: v1, big feature, milestone, category expansion.
